Duplex Apartment in Versova, Mumbai
Wooden panels, flooring and cabinetry; sectional sofas; round, or sculpted pouffes and balcony furniture; and low-lying nested tables were amongst the interior design ideas used to give this 6,000 sq. ft. space an air of inviting, informal elegance. The brown and ‘greige’ (grey + beige) colour scheme was in keeping with the client’s requirement for a combination of classic. and cosmopolitan aesthetics. Block colour cushions create a striking contrast against the luxuriant textures of the upholstery. Leaning bookshelves defined by clean geometrical lines, harmonise with the sleek futuristic appeal of overhead lighting installations. The walls have been adorned with abstract graphic art, with house plants for a pop of refreshing green against earth-and-metal-tints and textures.
