A quiet retreat within the city, the G.M. Syntex headquarters in Mumbai focuses on creating a sense of calm and comfort to support everyday work.

Designed by Chanya Kaur, Creative Director at The Pure Concept Home, the 20,000 sq. ft. space is guided by the idea of textures, inspired by the intricate and technical fabrics GM Syntex produces. Clean lines, functional planning, and a calm colour palette form the base of the design, while subtle patterns and tactile materials add depth across the four levels.

Each floor carries its own colour mood — warm beiges and browns on the ground floor, greys on the first, deep greens on the second, and terracotta on the rooftop — yet the space remains visually connected through consistent materials, textures, and natural light. The large design studio is kept open and airy, encouraging collaboration and creative flow.

A limestone façade gives the building a raw, textural presence, while interiors feature marble, wooden parquet flooring, terrazzo tiles, sisal carpets, wallpapers, veneers, mouldings, and cork walls. The rooftop cabana offers a quiet place to unwind, completing the headquarters as a calm and thoughtful workplace within the city. Surrounded by natural textures and earthy colours, it completes the space as a welcoming workplace; one that feels balanced, thoughtful, and quietly inspiring.
